Laying the groundwork
Fuller Farms is rooted in friendship.
Johnson County residents and friends Travis Fuller and Rafael Sánchez founded Fuller Farms in 2023.
Fuller grew up on a farm and is no stranger to agriculture. However, Sánchez, a self-described “boy from the Bronx,” had virtually no farming experience. Nonetheless, the pair found common ground in a desire to give back to their community.
Adam Bennett joined the charity with multi-faceted skills. As an entrepreneur he found his success in real estate and retail operations. Adam takes pride in helping the community through this project.

The first plants began growing in 2023. The self-funded operation went on to donate 3,326 pounds of produce to the Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County. Fuller Farms became a 501(c)(3) charity in August.

The team expanded on its success in 2024 adding a high tunnel structure to expand the growing season. Once again, Fuller Farms donated more than 3,000 pounds of produce.
